I am sitting in the quiet of my daughter's kitchen. The coldness of a Wisconsin winter sneaks in, emanating from the glass of the patio doors. As I look out across the lawn, I am comforted by the predawn darkness flecked with light from neighboring houses. Life. People living. I warm a second cup of coffee and blink back the tears.
The image into which I poured my pain on Day 59 is the image I select here, for this first blog.
I choose it because it captures the grief, pain, loss, heartache, love and joy of the widow's journey.
